One should fairly draw comparisons and reviews that take place in the selfsame League!
To want to use this SUB-W against SUB-W for HiFi stereo oriented systems, each is probably clear that this one which can not hold a candle.
This is my second SUB-W. Previously only - poor comparison - an active satellite set of JBL.
And can associate myself with the positive reviews for MIVOC fully.
We live in a house and have MFM / considerate of our neighbors.
Area: approx 40sqm.
Conditioning: KEF iQ50 Front & KEF iQ6c and ELAC Cool series as rear. AV: Cambridge Audio Azur540R.
Problems with room modes: available!
Up: room corner RE / behind couch. 20cm distance to sides / rear wall - 1.5m for seat
Use: 90% film - 10% music.
Experience & impression:
Visually fine. What do you want as big expectations.
Level: on 10 clock position. Frequency at about 9 clock.
In the film he makes neat for us fun and are happy with this setting.
Did not think that this "fill" it could for our room.
I like the voluminous exploded impression. A "punch-in-the-stomach" but you have not.
On the couch you can feel from time to time even the "quake". He grabs yet to tidy.
Here I can be fair, confirming described imprecision.
At higher power this wummert too hard for us, even with respect to the small front's.
From power level greater than 50% are listening to me for air flow noise of BRFL tube.
In the music room now also has an impressive bass foundation. From precision but is not discussed here.
To this end, this is absolutely not recommended for me ... but who pays attention, has also appropriate HiFi Comp. in their corresponding price league. Here I throw for stereo listening the Sub-W from MJ Acoustics [.....] in the room (my favorite for stereo, even when compared to other sub's 1000 belongs)
In short: Do not compare with other Reference woofers.
I'm going to now set a 2 thereof to take the room modes something in the pliers.
And for now and home theater (Panasonic HD - Beamer) home: Absolutely genius WOOFER!
