Creating, adapting or resuming a European medieval traditional songs, three of which sung in French ("Grievances of a promised Sainte Colombe", "Lament to the Duke of Savoy" and "Vigil of Oiseleurs"), Luc Arbogast gives once again proof of his inimitable talent, his voice so high and so precise, so strong and rich arrangements and its literally that transport us to another time. This is the great strength of the 15 tracks of this Limited Edition that stimulate the imagination of those who listen to them, with unquestionable sincerity and loyalty to his universe.
The album offers only one small concession to this approach, with the vocalized adaptation of the main theme of "Game of Thrones" series, but again Luc Arbogast manages to renew the appeal by appropriating of particularly original way. Let us also mention, among others, the magnificent pieces "Vox Clamantis" (singing Italian war), "Antealtares", "The Fearless Burning" and "Na Ja Hons Pris" (ballad written by Richard the Lion Heart, sung in old French) and the sublime "Vigil of Oiseleurs" performed a duet with the legendary Marie Yacoub Malicorne group.
The cover of the Limited Edition, as beautiful as sober with some photos and sepia tone, prolongs immersing the listener into the world of Luc Arbogast, offering also a booklet with the text (and the translation of thereof if necessary) of each of the songs. We can be certain is to walk on the road to new popular success Luc Arbogast took this time the Oriflamme, in homage to the beautiful Agnes Sorel (as proclaimed on the back of the booklet).
