+ Really awesome bass despite the small size (by the pull-out rump, which increases the internal cavity) - round, warm, full, not drönig [SUPPLEMENT 17:05:13: Provided you are a little over the bass player added]
+ Do not use caustic highs that cut a notch in his ear, but a pleasant high frequency resolution, which needs very little EQ depending on the player to sound angehenem schillernd
+ No cheeky or nasal middle (!), But credible
+ So overall a sound tuning, the super like almost without intervention
+ A real on / off button (well, when the phone rings - much better than pull the plug or make the player completely and later having to turn on again).
+ No annoying switching-on or off switching or stupid tones when loudspeakers or Make Leiser (see Jambone Jambox).
+ Touch-sensitive buttons for volume up / down, apparently with stepless adjustment of the volume amplifier (no coarse steps, no noise - Finger easy draufhalten until it's true)
+ Stereo - and the box is wide enough to make it as stereo actually sounds.
+ The design (oblique formation) is perfect for the desk, because the speakers radiate towards the ears, rather than the belly). I put the box directly under the monitor down, or sometimes the side of it - sounds super everywhere.
+ The small price (about EUR 100) for such adult Sound - hammer!
The klangverbiegenden switch "UG3" I do not use - totally unnecessary. This thing sounds just beautiful in normal mode. The Bluetooth quality I can not judge well, because I do not use. Even as a battery charger, I will probably never use the part.
Only two small negatives:
- Who needs to have very loud, might miss a bit more power.
I place my Cowon J3 eg most anywhere on a volume of 32-38 (out of 40) that the Soundfreaq on almost full (as I said, in wired mode, no Bluetooth), and that's enough me completely. If you want to celebrate a little rock orgy times or throw a dance party, should rather endeavor to another device. If it has to be portable, then perhaps the MiniRig (also a fine part with great sound, but only mono, and not quite as balanced as the sound Soundfreaq). The MiniRig can be VERY loud and bold still sounds good, though not as "audiophile" from her claim.
- The charger is a bulky part (kindly with attachments for Germany / Europe and UK). Better would be a USB charging option, so you could either pull over standard USB cable from the laptop to the juice, instead of having to always carry around the charger.
More fine mobile speakers that I recommend (but hardly use, since I have the Soundfreaq):
- Sound Matters FoxL V2 (without Bluetooth as a Soundkiller): A very balanced sounding, super compact member but stronger EQ interventions required (eg bass boost, adjustment in the height range) to sound homogeneous ... and wg. the small size can not pay the warmth and richness that flows from Soundfreaq effortlessly easy.
- MiniRig: The second best after Soundfreaq Sound Kick. According to no end, amazingly full, beautiful sound - just a little synthetic than the Soundfreaq (and only mono, but mega portable, with chic carrying case)
- Wave Master Mobi: For people who want to have the easiest and cheapest thing still sounds halfway around
Devices, which I totally advise against (bought and returned or resold):
- Jawbone Jambox: Sound as if behind a curtain, still kreischig and ugly in the heights; tugging at slightly louder volume, super annoying "operating noise" which can be exhibit only partially.
- Braven 650: an unexpectedly big disappointment. Stylish design and plenty of media hype, but neither balanced nor loud. Hands off.
If I want to be a little easier on the move or do not want to sacrifice so much space in your backpack, I grab the super compact MiniRig, but if I really want to enjoy the music, no way around the Soundfreaq. The adorns my desk in the company and made my daily life in the most pleasant way.
Do not be distracted by the favorable purchase price: The Soundfreaq Sidekick is sound-wise and otherwise an absolute tip, the audiophile ears may well flatter (assuming the player is also reasonably well at best equipped with EQ control possibilities in various bands instead of just. with fixed EQ presets; then you can hammer out the best sound). I've been watching the market for a long time and know currently nothing better for mobile use when good sound (and not only super high volume) is required.
Buy, taste. You will love! (But please, if you is good sound heart with cable and without Bluetooth.)
