The lens forms on my D7100 pretty neat from, but is not a "high-flyer". I could compare the new 35x lens with the 35mm DX version and with the Sigma 50mm 2.8 macro. Compared with the DX version I could virtually see any differences, because I had then but an increased image quality expected. The image quality of the two lenses is the same as on a DX camera. The processing is tadelos and clearly better than the 35s DX model, however, the new 35er is significantly larger and heavier compared to the DX version. The Sigma, however, provides a visible besssere image quality, here, the new 35er not keep up (from Aperture 3.5 and above). Why only 3 stars? Why should one over 500, - (! AT A CAMERA DX) issue euro when an identical image quality for already around 200 euros can get (Nikon 35mm DX 1.8). More than 300 euros I would not spend on this lens, therefore go back again - pity Nikon. Greeting Thomas
