The Nighthawk is quite large compared to my old router, a low-end home DG834 Netgear, in the order of 30 cm x 20 cm for the base and 20 cm high (with the central setting the vertical antenna. The design is nice, the futuristic genre with its many leds and 3 angular antennas. It is equipped with a powerful dual-core processor clocked at 1 GHz, 2 USB (to share hard drives or a printer, including USB 3.0), 4 Ethernet ports, and support wifi 2.4GHz and 5 GHz .. The unit is accessible to beginners, with a clear installation process, simple and accurate. The SSID and key have been predefined and are exclusive to your router. For more demanding, these characteristics can be modified using the Netgear Genie software, provided by Netgear. The WPS connection is also possible. The signal range is much greater than that of my old router, two large walls and fifteen meters should not be a problem, but it is still necessary that the Wifi key equipping your equipment is the height (I had replace one on a PC). The flow rate remains almost constant, I did not notice any untimely reconnections. Netgear refers to a theoretical maximum of 1900 Mbps, which seems very high and should ensure some longevity to the router, given the progress of various materials using WiFi. The router allows you to set up other possibilities such as parental security, management time slots, sharing media files, managing a staff ftp server. As part of my use, I am completely satisfied with this router.
