I must stress that this is my first ever phone with a QWERTY keyboard. In recent years, I have the iPhone 1 - 5 all had.
2 months ago, in exchange for Z10 (After 4 years of iOS has me Apple devices only bored). From the Z10 I was excited from day one. The software I feel bad towards as the highlight. It simply runs super smooth, everything has been thought through to the last point, and it offers a true multi - tasking work on, without sacrificing performance. After the enthusiasm of the Z I just wanted to try it Q.
And I must say, this phone still likes me much better. The combination of a QWERTY keyboard with a touchscreen was brave, for me is the selling point for the device.
Operation is child's play. The software runs super smooth. Eben write a mail, write to 2 people in BBM and What 's App - besides running a Youtube video and the browser is open. Everything goes very fast - no waiting time, no download time - Perfect implementation!
My positive aspects:
- Combination of QWERTY with Touch is well implemented.
- Keyboard in perfection
- Software with true multi-tasking, HUB, touch gestures - currently for me the best OS on a mobile device.
- Hardware looks very valuable. Grip is great. Adapts perfectly to the hand and can be operated with one hand.
- Battery lasts me at quite intensive use one day
- Possibility of adding an SD card and changing the batteries
Negatives:
- About iCloud allows the calendar since the firmware update 10.0.1 no longer use.
The contacts are not affected, fortunately.
- Mail is still expandable. There can be only via IMAP mail for the last 90 days to adjust. Here, however, the setting can not be changed. Man I have to decide when setting up. I have, for example, stand for a further 30 days at an old device, then that is adjusted by a back-up to the new device and so can not be changed. So it is then, delete the accounts and to adjust.
- BlackBerry World. Here I would like to see more control. The quality of the apps have to rise significantly. I currently use about 5 apps that have been very well implemented. The rest is rather weak. (Blackberry seems to want to shine only by the number of apps here - here the quality goes but bathe).
Other:
Before buying you should incidentally be clear on one point: The Q10 is definitely not a multimedia device! Who wants to play, should switch to a larger display.
It is a business phone and aimed to use this beautiful piece of art as a communication center. Games make it absolutely no fun. Therefore I let the criticism of others here respect. The screen size does not apply.
You really have to be sure before buying, which claims you have a telephone.
