First, notice that TomTom has given in its appearance or a little more effort than when you start 20th also one stayed with the integrated holder and has this improved again. Extremely stiff, so that an unintended twist is excluded.
Here you have the self-aligning display waived because that governs now only on the bracket.
Noticing more positive:
+ As opposed to the 90 days free updates of the starting 20's there here the Lifetime Updates
+ POI's
(Does not have to be home set) Setting the + after initial commissioning only language and country and there you go
+ GPS! In my mind, the biggest selling point compared to the starting 20. That was / is now already quickly but which offers the starting 40, I've never seen before! Initial start-up, jumped on the country setting in the operating mode and immediate positioning. That makes the good each time, as if it is permanently online.
+ Also find here by default male Language
+ Also substitute routes are instantly calculated and dispensed Authenticate floods calls for a turning maneuver here.
+ It was omitted nothing positive from the start 20
+ Micro SD - card slot
What is different?
Unfortunately this is only seen when you press the Menu button, the charge gauge on the battery. As can be seen on the video (left the starting 40 and the right starting 20), the color scheme of the display was somewhat different. The charging socket for the power plug, in which you still broke almost fingers when latching on startup 20, has now been installed reasonable times. At the lower edge, in contrast to 20 Start a Micro SD - card slot! The announcements have become more precise when starting 40 in general. The Getting Started with the still-propelled meters to turn and ends with precise national roads or highway numbers, should be like listening to the video as well.
Otherwise, the screen and the displayed items were a little spread and no longer act as compact as the start 20! And we have just held the Central European maps version with 19 countries onboard the large map of Europe with 45 countries!
However, the charging lamp is still missing as at the start of 20!
Conclusion: After the weights of all the pros and cons, especially with reference to the price / performance ratio, earned that starting 40 clear five stars! I'm honestly very surprised at how much you get navigation here for so little money when you look at what some other vendors call for such a Navi. The whole operation is still so extremely user-friendly in other words, foolproof, so that a "wrongdoing" is really impossible.
Strong buy recommendation!
