Weight: The biggest problem in my view first: according to the technical data on the manufacturer side weighs the camera without battery and memory card 160g. Unfortunately, that's just wrong. The camera weighs without battery and memory card 200g smooth. With battery and memory card 220g. The strap also just adds a few grams.
Those who first will download and circulate the handbook lucky. Here agrees the weight.
(1 Star)
Large optical Zoom: 18x => is not quite infinitely, yet great! (5 Stars)
Compactness: good, but are Samsung, the thickness "with no protruding parts" with 25mm to. With (so the lens is then meant) it is about a centimeter more scarce. (4 stars)
Image Quality: At full zoom, it is difficult to obtain without a tripod or sharp edges. However, this is only visible if you enlarges the image on the PC to its original size.
A noise at high ISO values can be seen. It can, however, in low light always focus well, so recording is possible.
Of course, such a compact camera with a DSR comparable, therefore the quality is acceptable in any case.
I would have appreciated it if a few more were set Sizes. 14 Megapixel needs in my opinion nobody that stacks up to a compact camera. Those who do not want the images to print in A4 size, but viewed in Full HD, the theoretically 2 megapixel sufficiently.
Who in 16: 9 format will take pictures, have a choice 2-10 megapixels. So in order to still have some room for trimming, an additional 5 megapixel mode would be just right (as with my Samsung L77).
(Not 4 stars)
Video Quality: Videos are not so important to me personally, but the quality is passable. The sound may continue when zooming, but you can hear the engine quite considerably. (3 stars)
Conclusion: the camera would indeed be so easy, as stated, I would keep them. Because then it would be unrivaled in its class and a real pocket-camera.
Since its predecessor WB600 can be had for about half the price, I find the value for money of the WB700 a bit too high.
I'm staying at my first Samsung L77, but would from a purchase of WB700 nevertheless not advise.
