This silver Pandora pendant is perfect in my opinion "Start" to a Pandora bracelet, especially as a gift.
It is elegant and unobtrusive, so can the donee still choose the style, without having to replace the first Charm. The pendant is is pretty much all other Pandora followers combined.
And all for a reasonable price (at least for Pandora pendants :))
