I have given me the headphones themselves today and I am really disappointed.
Since I'm really great AKG friend (K701 / Q701 / K272) it hurts me to write something this review.

+ The headphones act very valuable, are well in hand and sit very well on my head. The pressure is perfect for me
o The cable is also well made, and the jack adapter, but I find the cable management from Q701 much better (2 detachable cables of differing lengths)
- The stench! Unbelievable how headphones can stink so, the smell is very strict. I do not want to draw on the K550. Even my girlfriend has even smelled the nauseating stench on my hair after showering and this is no isolated case !!!
- The hinge of the right ear cup creaks! Something must not happen in this Preiskatigorie !!!
- The ear pads are made of leather. Why not Velour is used is beyond me Rätsel.Zumindest might be interchangeable .... (In winter, you realize one probably not as you sweat less, but unbearable in the summer, with closed headphones)

o The sound is very well balanced and relatively neutral. But the stage is a little too tight. The bass discreet for my taste and for closed-ear headphones, but stronger than the K701. The sound is not so detailed and clean as the K701.
- The shield for Ausenwelt obwohls indeed a home product, is very well done (for closed-ear headphones), but could be a bit better for outdoor use, with the long, non-removable cable using outdoor stands in the way.

The headset goes back. He does not sound bad but for the price there are much better, also closed by Beyerdynamics zB.Ich've just expected a lot more and AKG has also a lot of time left to the German release, the then so terribly fails. The smell is absolutely KOKriterium. I want something evil Rich end not have on my skin or hair.
