Background:
I have now already had more than 8 different Flat Full HD TVs in a Größ about 47/50 "at home and can therefore really good comparison. (In total, there were already more than 15 different devices)
My previous and hitherto best TV was the following: 60 "Plasma 3D from Samsung, namely the PS60E6500 The image of the plasma was slightly darkened room really fantastic Super black levels (I attach a lot of value) perfect contrasts and bright enough.!. Unfortunately bothered me in the plasma the quite loud whirring of the power supply / Panels and the non-integrated "Tru-Motion" (interframe calculation) function. Yes, I'm on a buttery soft, but not soap-biased picture! That's why I have him by 1 1/2 years sold again (fortunately no loss made).
In the bedroom is still hanging a 47 "LG LE8500 FULL LED (Direct-LED + local dimming) TV with an unsurpassed black level, which is not replaced in the future, simply because perfectly suited for the bedroom.
But I had also briefly following TVs are at home (since there is no competitive image vs. the plasma, all went back again):
- Sony 55 "HX855 (good picture, very good black, but failed ** view angle and bad 3D)
- LG 55 "LM660 (poor Black, for very sharp image, but strong Clouding, TOP 3D)
- Samsung 55 "F6500 (milky image, relatively good black, very poor viewing angle and 3D well ..
As a player a VU + SOLO2 serves me with SKY HD completely.
When wiring only hochertige HDMI cable (partly Amazon Basic 1.4 and DelyCon Premium 2.0) and my Marantz SR7008 AV receiver can be used. So in itself very good conditions.
Of course, it was all TVs based on Burosch test patterns and test various videos on my PC [(stands beside the Lowboard and is connected exclusively via the TV) clocked i5-2500K to 4x 4,5Ghz, AMD Radeon HD7950OC also overclocked to 1.010Mhz] set up and adjusted.
Now the delivery of LGs through Amazon Warehouse Deals:
I ordered it from Amazon Warehouse Deals, and have experienced a huge disappointment considering Amazon for the first time!
TV unpacked and found that neither the TV Stand, nor the remote control nor the 3D glasses are included! So I was already mega frustrated! Then I lifted the TV from the box and had festellen this is that there but actually a LG60LA6208 stood in the LG60LA7408 packaging !!!
Instant Amazon called and complained, especially since I've taken extra holiday for the delivery ....
4 days later I got a replacement delivery, but with a very uneasy feeling, because this came about Warehouse Deals.
Unpacked and ever been glad that a pedestal was in the package directly above ^^
However, upon further unpacking I noticed that diesemal again something very important is missing ... namely the power cable !!! Also missing the 2 Dual Play glasses ....
Fortunately, I had a short but appropriate power cord still laying around in the corner, which I could at least use for testing of TVs temporarily.
Experience Warehouse Deals = NEVER AGAIN !!! at least no High-priced items more!
Delivery from Philips on a large multi-media chain, but ordered online:
Call forwarding of getting spotted appointment, delivered, unpacked and enthusiastic ;-)
For image quality:
First I both TVs set based Burosch my test images and videos. Which reminds me immediately noticed as both TVs Edge LED devices (even if it is officially known by LG, the LG LA7408 in 60 "a direct LED should be, but this may be in life never! I have the perfect compared to the old LG LE8500!) that the backlight (backlight) Typical EDGE is not 100% homogeneous and light shines through in the corners / edges.
So I had also the backlight of the LGs to about 48 and turn down to about 55 at Philips and the local dimming on (LG) or high on (Philips) Optimum performance (optimal picture was too bright and black to gray! ) put.
Only then the black levels and the Clouding / Flash Lights were dimmed and no longer as strong auffalend. The picture, however, a little darker and not as gaudy (mega Brilliant bright).
Then it went off, I have several high quality 4K UHD and Full HD videos pulled from the nets and long hours rumgefummelt to settings and compared. The fact is that you absolutely with all new TVs, the majority of "image grabber / improvers" should turn off, as these have the opposite effect! Dynamic Kontarst, Farbenhancer etc ... all totally exaggerated and bad!
Place the Tru-Motion setting in LG / PNM at Philips is not higher than the first step, because there is the LG even here, even slight artifact formations with fast movements and the higher the value is set, the Soapiger or worse the image as always more image errors occur! Here, however, the Philips was much more accurate and sharper moving images.
Incidentally, I noticed also that the entire image of the LG compared to Philips had a kind of greyness! Although the contrast to 90 and the brightness was on 50-52 and this is to be classified according to ideal test images. The Gammwert was 2.2 because 2.4 is a bit too dark and can drown in the dark details.
Unfortunately, it was not possible for me to remove these gray veil.
It may be that this is just so extremely noticeable when one compares directly nebneinander, but the image of Philips was here just at least one class settled higher in all areas, and looked much more brilliant and clear out. Even with fast motion and panning it fell on very strong. At LG we saw some kind of a compression artifacts in motion ...
Positive = 3D is both devices really a dream! Also the good viewing angles (thanks to the IPS panels).
I find it interesting the result already, because of Philips probably even has the same panel as the LG and was applied only to the signal processing and so on own hand.
The very successful Ambilight Philips support my decision, so I feel worse than the LG clearly.
Soon I will upload some photos here, then everyone can get an idea of it.
It should be said at the conclusion that I, audio quality or otherwise put no value to the internal tuner, Smart TV, since the TV is used eigtl with me only as "Monitor".
The processing of Philips with real metal and glass is also excellent !!!
###### FIX ######
Right now at the 2014 World Cup I look increasingly football and unfortunately I must now report that Philips has very strong vertical banding! This was so strong that I have returned to TV again.
Who looks so much sports (football), who was to make a big circle around the Philips LED TV!
I have now bought a 65 "Panasonic plasma VTW60 (used, in good condition incl. 4 years warranty).
Guys, I whistle to the higher power consumption (with me about 50-60 more per year), because what heruasarbeitet this TV from the material is simply breathtaking !!
Perfect black levels, extremely natural color reproduction, smoothest picture (at 24p Smooth, IFC or to low) and an absolutely homogeneous illumination without DSE, Banding and other errors!
Thanks to the Plasma technology, each pixel is individually controlled and can be pixel-perfect on / off This results in an extreme counterpoint ratio, perfect tracing of the shadow areas and perfect black levels.
Even the 3D is classified despite active shutter technique than perfect! I can virtually no ghosting discover, even in the back planes.
The only drawback, large white screens are displayed rather dark, so not so perfectly suited for long-term PC operating for surfing etc.
But thanks to the new Infinite Black Ultra - High Contrast Filter Pro, the plasma is to be enjoyed even in direct sunlight and is also at full Zimmebeleuchtung a super black level.
So can the TX-P65VTW60 any highly recommend ;-)
