Since I do not want a smartphone, I'm glad that there is still a classic Nokia phone. If you everywhere so shop around, there are almost only smartphones. The functions are as diverse predecessors Nokia typically very simple and self-explanatory. So you need no settling or longer studying the manual.
A bit disappointing compared to my previous Nokia 6300 is the material quality. When C2-01 everything is plastic, rather simple, thin material. If the falling time, it is likely to suffer damage equal so. At least I found on Ebay and bought (for less than 10, - Euro incl. Shipping) very economical replacement covers.
The sound is not quite as good as the old 6300. But if I want to listen to music, I do it from a CD or an MP3 player.
Notes on connecting to the PC:
- A connection cable is not present, there are at Ebay for 2 to 3 euros.
- In Windows XP, this only works with the Nokia PC Suite software, which comes free with Nokia on the Page, is rather cumbersome, complicated and costly.
- In Windows 7 it works so simply connect with cable.
Conclusion: The Nokia C2-01 is the right instrument for anyone looking for an inexpensive, classic phone that is easy to use and provides all the essential functions.
