The story itself is fairly standard: 3 fish face of danger, 3 different ways of reacting. One is rather providing very careful to anticipate problems, the second smart enough is doing the trick, when the third too stupid and too careless to actually have slack and ends on the market! The narration is quite fast (too fast for my liking, we could develop a little more) but very efficient and accessible even for the youngest: my large section of students (5) loved! What I liked most about it is the original artwork and in which children found a lot of things to observe and comment, but especially the format which is quite practical for classroom reading: first it is a great card format that is well in hand but especially the text of the tale is not on every page but together with his illustration of a flap at the end of the book. It folds back behind the book and it may thus have the book open to children, with only the illustrations, while having the text in front to play it (paragraphs are numbered to know what page they refer ), a bit like a kamishibaï but with a reasonable price! I did not expect that at all when I bought it on amazon, but the desk it was a very nice surprise!
