I read of heroic fantasy and SF since 1985 thanks to late collection Neo and fire Anticipation. Fantasy in terms of the choice was poor at the time, if you had read all Howard, Moorcock, Leiber Tolkien or you were just good to warm up so the cow was thin. This is no longer the case now where the shelves are drowning in more insipid series, commercial and distressing one than the other (read Robin Hobb or Brent Weeks you will see for yourself, JK Rowling in the way with his Harry Potter, there the dough to make the swindlers are in order of battle!). And here comes Glen Cook, his company and his black private detective garrett, which quite frankly are good in this genre loss as these stories are well written and engaging. If you have not read it yet, I envy you! You are going to make you happy!
