This will not hurt time I wanted to have a food dehydrator. I have not been disappointed with the result. I used it with the cherry tomatoes from the garden. I have placed 24 hours in the unit. Then I put them in jars with olive oil, thyme, bay leaf, basil and savory. The result was perfect. I had prepared dried tomatoes in the oven but it was much more restrictive. I also dried eggplant; must wash, remove stems, slice and presto, it's gone for 10 hours. The result is astonishing because it really does feel like a vegetable to taste more pronounced. Then we can use it as you want (casseroles, moussaka, etc.). I also did the test with figs from the garden. It takes longer (30 hours) but it's worth it: nothing to do with dried figs sold commercially. You just flatten fruit before placing them on trays. Otherwise, the unit is super easy to use: an on / off switch and a thermostat that goes from 35 ° to 70 °! To select the temperature, I personally do tests ... and I adapt. I tend to never go to extremes. The only galley with this model, the cleaning of trays: foods tend to stick in the grids (but I think it's the same with all domestic drier). (ServaneL.)
