Now we come to the energy-saving options and the on-off problem of the mouse. One should not allow the computer so that it can switch off Bluetooth devices to save energy. Because after the mouse is no longer on the computer. The PC reports however that the mouse is connected and operational. It's the same when you manually turn off the mouse, for example, to shut down the computer. The next time the PC's mouse is not him. I have ever tried, only turn on the mouse and then the computer. But even that did not work. The mouse needs to be reinstalled again.
It stands to reason that the mouse stores on which PC it is installed. And once you get it off, it will reset again. I then left namely times the mouse is turned on. When the computer turned on again he found them. They had indeed a few times back and forth, but then it ran. Since I use the mouse just occasionally, I'm going to see how long do the batteries in the ON state.
We have to work even cordless MS keyboards and mice, however, via USB. These are, of course, used daily, and it has been not a single battery change to become a semi-annual usage needed. Both the keyboard and mouse can not be switched off manually here at least. Here are a then only the energy saving options in Windows. At home I have a Logitech wireless solution. There at least the mouse batteries had to be changed in just 6 weeks, although this on-off switch and have they are not used daily.
Note for Windows XP users:
I wanted, for testing purposes, install the mouse on my Windows XP laptop, which also has Bluetooth. But here the Mouse Manager is not detected or not even an 'Unknown Device' in Device found. Windows shows that Bluetooth on and properly working for themselves. So I would therefore XP users do not recommend this mouse.
Conclusion:
If a mouse has an on-off switch, so you must also be able to use it without any problems. The mouse wheel is only partially suitable for working longer. Positive, the soft clicking sound and the precision of mouse movements.
Addendum 20.3.2012
Since January, I had the mouse left turned on, as it always has to be reinstalled otherwise. I have the mouse approximately 3x briefly used the week. Now, the battery indicator will flash red. These were now 3 months. If you could turn off the mouse at least hesitation, then the batteries would keep you safe longer. So for a daily use it is at least at this mouse have no joy.
