Bobologie

Bobologie

The bobo Republic (Paperback)

Customer Review

This is a real treaty bobologie in which embarked successfully Laure Watrin and Thomas Legrand. And cétait a priori a challenge as the concept is elusive, catch-all, importing persons seeking to reconcile opposites, sometimes seen as a factor of progress or a form of deception of the ruling class.

Bobo is a portmanteau coined by an American journalist who refers to no specific sociological category but longer defined by some of its effects (urban gentrification, more or less authentic social diversity, eco-consumption, socio-cultural activism, progressivism societal). It is this elusiveness that makes lappréhension difficult (it would be more or less sores), in fact common enemy of conservatives who see self-righteous hedonistic post-soixanthuitards, and vrauche social-traitors (wholesale).

Neither defense nor pamphlet, this test has the merit dapporter first light on a form of societal change made annoying postures skillfully teased by the authors but also carrier of a project to combine comfort material and cultural capital. Basically, a social project not so hateful.
