Loved it! Certainly for fans of fantasy "classic" Tigane GG Kay can be confusing. Especially if you read his trilogy Tapestry Fionavar whose universe is very close to that of Tolkien's Rings of Lords. Here it is, as in the Chanson d'Arbonne, in a very successful blend of medieval romance and fantasy. And that's what makes the strength of this book, like the beauty of the writing, the rich characters and orignalité history. I can only invite you to discover Tigane - the book but this forgotten land and condemned to disappear definitively because of the spell Brandin, the tyrant - following the initiation of Devin the minstrel, the discovery of his identity and commitment alongside Alessan to break the curse.
