I have this head now for a year. The large ball ensures that the head is not slow in detecting and for an enjoyable breakaway. The build quality is consistently very good. For this head my Sigma 50-500mm is no problem at all and even more lenses you should then have to think about a gimbal. Last it should be mentioned that this head Arca-Swiss compatible. I own several plates of Redged, kiwi, etc. all of which fit well to the terminal.
