Weaknesses:
Who hopes for a full DSLR replacement here is sadly mistaken.
The camera shows problems with dynamic lighting conditions, you is not in automatic mode sure which parts of the image light, and which are to be displayed dark. Autofocus in my opinion also reacts a bit too slow and is not always on the sharp what you would like.
Wifi connection with iPhone / iPad, and the app is not readily possible. Possibly Helpful here a software update.
Now for the good sides of the camera:
Right where the SLR is not with hinkann, namely wherever it is too sandy, dirty, cold or snow, water has the Nikon AW130 blooms on properly. Here she shows her competitors ala GoPro Action Cameras Rollei or the cold shoulder. The video quality here is far more convincing, especially in low light. Here, the sensor adjusts much faster and can be more pure light, which still produced usable footage in a dark room or even at dusk. Also very positive I liked the 4 times optical zoom, it can what is happening to get closer back if it were not so advisable is to stand directly in front of the action. The camera has no adverse Fisheye effect, also the often leaves in the Action cameras only a distorted perception of what really happened. Underwater shots are also very detailed and colorfast (where water up to the leaves). Also on board the camera has small gadgets like a barometer, depth sounder, GPS function and a compass.
All in all:
Anyone looking for a camera which is designed for heavy use, not want to do without 4x optical zoom and someone has one filming in his activity, or a sport operates when you have at least one hand free, I can safely recommend to here slam. I mostly movies with the camera in 1080p and 30 frames are quite feasible.
