Amok (Dolp + CD Deluxe Edition) [Vinyl] [Vinyl] (Vinyl)

Customer Review

Already the first piece "Before Your Very Eyes" clarifies from the opening bars that only Thom York may be responsible. Amok is a combination of the almost elektropoppigem Thom Yorke solo album "The Eraser" and the rhythmically betonterem last Radiohead album "The King of Limbs". Thom Yorke has gathered with Flea from the Chili Peppers, Nigel Godrich producer, Joey Waronker on drums and Mauro Refosco as Pecussionist a true supergroup around. The familiar already from the aforementioned albums rhythm is also on the Atoms for Peace debut trump! For this, a twitching guitar melodies with weaves. Flea underpinned with its not quite as funky bass foundation for the layer by layer a sound collage of loops is woven here. The song slowly gain in their often complex structure of drama that has the verse-chorus-verse songwriting nothing in common. Some then acts very mechanical and strangely subdued but the voice Thom Yorke bilded to a warm contrast. It's an insane roller coaster ride with many ups and downs, twists and descents, it is partly organic band, part machine Computergefrickel a brilliant musician. The album takes you happy with repeated a minute on a 45 trip.
I review here the 2-compartment 180 gram vinyl, which runs at 45 revolutions and where there are high absolutely nothing to complain about. The sound is top notch, the pressure well, an absolutely flat running vinyl, located in thick Pappinnenhülllen that fit visually for great artwork of the album. A 3-way foldable cover with a thick held in black-white-silver artwork that really looks great. It is a doomsday scenario in LA, which is hit by comets. A record that not only sounds great but also looks. Full marks.
