Price / Performance: TOP
Shortcomings:
- The unit is powered by 2 batteries, no battery pack. What naturally comes to the number of images with 1 set of batteries. I have the camera now with 2 strong battery batteries in use (2800 mAh). Have done about 150 photos + a few short videos. Batteries still hold. For me therefore acceptable.
- Loading Flash: sometimes take up to 5 seconds! (For me rather unproblematic since I knipse almost exclusively outdoors)
- (Optical viewfinder would be great, probably at this price requires a little too much)
Image Quality:
- Very good close-ups
- Medium zoom range - well
- 12x zoom: - it can be seen a clear noise.
- Shake: who has a fairly steady hand, is hardly blur an image. Thus, the stabilizer does a good job.
Handling:
- Absolutely good for me as an experienced Canon user, because the operation is quite similar to DSLR
- Display continuously supplies all about exposure, etc.
- The pre-defined scene modes provide good results and can also be influenced manually
- Manual setting possible, because you need halt bissl experience.
Lens:
- Could be a bit brighter (short range)
- Short range: 24 mm - 18 can with DSLR - keep 55 loose because the crop factor at 18er anyway ca 24-28 means. Conclusion: So also snapshots of the near people (party, ...) possible.
Video:
- I can not comment on it because I have no experience.
