"Under the Ice" is an absolute disappointment for me! Instead of, hoped for me, romantic gothic rock penetrated rock and pop music, with some clichéd lyrics, out of my speakers. Because I felt something seriously verschaukelt. Especially since the songs above were quite close to commercial Gothic music. Unfortunately, these are songs, along with "hope", "Star" and "survival" at the same time the strongest songs on the album.
The remaining titles you feel that you have everything before somehow, somewhere, sometime heard. Also production technology of Silberling is not a high flyer. I had the feeling that everything would have to go quickly, quickly, as long as the hype about "frost flowers" still persists. Characteristically for this is the fact that, according to [...] the album was initially announced (shortly after the release of the single "ice flowers") for May 2009. I guess that the producers have set due to the success of the single "ice flowers" composed and written just once in summary proceedings a few uncharitable songs, or have had to write. Unfortunately, the album gets it also felt. In my opinion it would have been good for the CD, if one has been slow to production for a few weeks longer. This is a bit too shallow for my tastes and looks unfinished.
Namely, remains a nice pop-rock album, with 5, 6 really good songs (see above) unter'm line. The rest of the bar, with little recognition or hit potential and is drifting musically heavily on the German rock bar (sounds like a mixture of LaFee, Silvermoon and July) from. Too bad, here would be, for the sweet Ria, really have done better. I can only guess, purely to listen to the disc before purchasing. So one or the other will perhaps save you a disappointment.
