Regarding the cabinet, Nvidia could make the effort to provide MiniHDMI cable (not to be confused with the microHDMI) to connect the Shield has its TV via HDMI. Especially for the price it's worth, less than 10. In the box we find the Shield, the microUSB cable, the small booklet for safety (no small quick start guide), there has the provided AC adapter two tips, a French and a US. So you will certainly need to buy a microSDHC card.
Level look:
The tablet is anthracite gray, with a large 8-inch screen. The edges around the screen are very thick either on the side edge or parting with the speaker. We are far from Borderless smartphones. The back at first, is reminiscent of an aspect "gum", but it is not, it is hard plastic. The speaker in the front are integrated perforated plastic. The other two speakers are camouflaged under the grids. These revenues are slightly relative to the frame.
In terms of connectivity, it has a microSDHC harbor closed by a small removable flap. Note that the card is difficult to "clip" because it must go deep enough into the slot. There is also a 3.5mm jack, microUSB port and MiniHDMI port.
Level Finish:
The Shield is over, everything is assembled, no play between the frame and the screen. Regarding the materials she uses plastic to the frame covers, the rear seat, and speaker coverings.
Just in the primary part of the Shield, namely the game.
To fully enjoy it, invest in the Shield Wireless Controller for playability, and the Tablet Cover for comfort. This increases quickly the bill! Almost 300 for Shield Only WIFI + 60 version for the controller and 30 for the cover. Easily reached to 400 is the price of a PS4 or Xbox One. So we can say that the tablet game is not within the reach of every budget. But hey, if we choose the Shield, is that we want to enjoy the game.
The Full HD screen allows to enjoy the superb graphics of the games. The speaker provides powerful and clear sound.
The synchronization between the Shield and the handles are made in one minute. For my part, I have tested the following games: Riptide GP2, Dead Trigger 2 Trine 2 (very good platform game and think originally installed), Virtua Tennis and Real Racing 3. For all these games, the joystick is recognized directly for orders. This is much more playable and accurate compared to touch the handle. A state that Virtua Tennis, maneuverability is slower, heavy to handle compared to the touch.
For info, with FIFA 14, the controller is not recognized for game controls, damage.
With its miniHDMI port, you can connect the TV to its Shield to enjoy its games on a large screen for visual comfort. There are not too many visual loss between the image on the Shield and the broadcast on TV.
It has two possible connections, or with a special cable MiniHDMI / HDMI or a MiniHDMI / HDMI adapter + conventional HDMI cable. It takes ten euros for each connection.
Once Shield connected, there is a window that offers two display modes on the shelf, mirror or console. In mirror mode, the screen remains on the Shield, while in console mode, it turns off.
As for the lever, it adjusts the volume of the tablet, and can be used with joysticks and mouse touchpad.
For the bone, there is the Android 4.4.2 Default Kit Kat. But the update 5.0 is already available Lollipop, meme if I did not already installed.
