Wow, with Powerslave a real Kracher is the guys so again succeeded. The disc offers everything what Iron Maiden is. Fast songs, who enter a big bang, excellent guitar work of Murray and Smith, the pushing Rhythm machine bassist Steve Harris and drummer Nico McBrain and above all towering vocals of Bruce Dickinson. The best song on the album is undoubtedly Rime Of The Ancient Mariner. Here, Steve Harris has surpassed the songwriting itself. At 13 minutes, taking the song time, convey the theme and the successful Lyrics in great melodies and heavy riffs. My other favorite tracks Powerslave with its dark atmosphere and the instrumental piece Losfer Words, which features first-class work on the guitar, but also the two singles Aces High and 2 Minutes To Midnight go very well, although one last song now on the various Live -albums has simply heard too often. Although The Duellists and Back In The Village fall off easily, but compared to other metal monotony nevertheless songs of a high level. Bruce Dickinson is very creative on this album.
