First course was unpacking, while there was no negative or positive surprises, everything safely packed. What I find really good, Pioneer puts the connection cable for an Apple device in, I bet that are normally not cheap !?
First I connected everything and then power off my fritzbox has him recognized directly and assigned an IP.
Then the automatic calibration of the speakers, was totally new to me but it worked out very well and I was impressed by the sound, with my old amplifier I have days needed to really everything fit.
Then I wanted to try the main point for me, AirPlay!
iPad turned on and music turned on after just 10 seconds appeared a new icon on, clicked on it and I was able to select the amplifier.
And then ran the music through the amplifier, I do not know whether this is due to Apple or to Pioneer, but AirPlay works very well. Small side note that AirPlay only comes when the amplifier is on the same network as the iPhone / iPad should be clear, so buy either the amplifier via cable to the router or the wireless adapter to.
In addition my BluRay player, my Sky receiver and my Samsung TV, all connected via HDMI and everything works great, I can control the amplifier through the TV. The ARC works perfectly. It will automatically change the inputs depending on the unit.
The PC software has also been with me always installed in Chinese, made smart in Pioneer forum, you must not run the auto setup but must start setup.exe from the CD, actually a small but very annoying error :(
Now a few words on the operation and the much maligned remote control. The remote control is easy Super full, the buttons are very small and you should see very little without pressing. On the other hand where do you get all the features?
But one has in the app. given for tablet / smartphone all the more trouble the amplifier to operate with it is a delight! Everything is clear and also looks good.
I have the amplifier are now almost 1 month use and am more than satisfied.
