About the technology:
Here, the entire range is the EX1000 with a driver covered therefore dynamic drivers.
My other in-ear, the XBA-H3 has 3Treiber installed Low / Medium / High.
As for the speakers, there is always overlap in the areas where the Speaker to stop and the other speaker assumes further work. It shows if you want to couple a subwoofer to the receiver correctly.
Like the MDR EX1000 sound compared to the XBA-H3?
I bought in December last year to me for the first time an in-ear (XBA-H3) and was completely pleased with the sound.
Before a Denon AH7000 and now there should be an in-ear ??
The XBA-H3 sounds very good. All areas from deep to treble sound very pleasant.
The EX1000 has a slight sharpness in the sound, which is especially noticeable in Techno or styles of music as Paul Kalkbrenner on. The width of the stage while EX1000 tops for me everything I've heard so far as headphones. As well as the very good sounding Xba comes H3 not ran.
Volumes compared:
Only looked for the values of the EX1000 has actually only 1 dB more (108dB), XBA-H3 (107dB), but in practice the sounds EX1000 both the iPad and the iPhone clearly louder than the XBA-H3.
How will hear music?
I have a T & A DAC8 who has a high-quality headphone output. Even my esteemed SC-LX86 is clamped here often to. Then, usually heard in "Phone / Surround / mode. The DVD so bugged an absolute dream!
What do you do?
Who now still considered should buy a MDR EX1000. The headset has for me already a certain "cult status" and would this not soon want to give.
What is negative?
The EX1000 has unfortunately not installed "Micro" on the cable, which is nowadays an absolute knockout criterion. Therefore, I still have my XBA-H3 in use.
Greetings from Buxtehude.
