First things first: properly filled come as super low waffles. Even tan and nothing more crude. The changes, however, when one is too much dough pure. I'm not a waffle iron expert and do not know if other waffle irons allow as little more variation in the thickness of the wafer, to me personally but that enough as it is. 3/4 trowel and all is well, of a 25 waffle maker can not ask for more. To date (3 years) I got the waffle iron not greased and bake until now nothing. What I find questionable, however (this is also a star deduction) is the stability. The lid's been a rather wobbly affair. A decent hinge would have allowed to be already (is considered in more detail the hinge do not really "cheap" on the material, it simply has too much play), so you have to constantly have the queasy feeling when baking the cover equal in hand.
