A concert-class experience

This album is the culmination of the era with Natalie Merchant as a singer of 10,000 Maniacs. The songs are mostly from the albums "In My Tribe", "Blind Man's Zoo" and especially from the Highlight "Our Time In Eden" from the year 1992. They were played with a great array of guest musicians, including with many strings. All musicians have in common that they really gave it their all in this performance, thus creating a unique, haunting atmosphere. It is clear that the 10,000 Maniacs up not only Natalie Merchant mean, but the wonderful sound was influenced by all band members - just think of the characteristic guitar of Robert Buck This shows, for example, the incredibly intense "Do not Talk", which clearly won over the studio version.. Natalie sings absolutely sovereign, the cello solo is madness. And even with "Stockton Gala Days" which increases to ecstasy, is to try and to dance every time.
Who (laserdisc better) is next to this CD lucky owner of the video, can enjoy three additional songs. "Let The Mystery Be", "Jolene" and "Dallas" - all with David Byrne as a guest musician But this is not the decisive factor but the optical Live experience with 10,000 Maniacs Natalie Merchant. Even to see how Natalie plays Piano and gorgeous dancing on songs like "These Are Days", is worth buying. Wish to remain that this piece of rock history - now sold over 3 million copies - is finally released as a DVD. Then I'm sure one of the first buyers, because I am fascinated by this CD over and over again.
