As the owner of the first model with glass decanters of SodaStream (model Penguin), I am much happier with this. When model penguin had to the lid of the glass carafe from the side it slide and could only then to turn. Since the decanter not had a thread, but the lid containing the thread, the cap does not always sat very close. Thus, the carbon dioxide escaped not, you have the cover turned down more firmly, incurred up small cracks. That has changed in Crystal decanters and a thread donated and ordinary screw with given. With this model I'm quite happy with the previous not.
