The Pressure:
=========
The black and white printing is very good. Laser printers have the advantage that the pressure
does not run if the water comes out and prefer inkjets.
The color printing is not as good as that of an inkjet printer due to the low resolution,
but still relatively good. Some feel very good. But that is always on the
printed photo and to the expectations of the buyer to. Also, lets the color printing
optimize a suitable paper yet. But inkjets have always
A problem that the ink dries and is thrown away after a while the device either,
has sold or repair expensive. Thus, the color laser is a good acquisition.
The paper guide is very good, I had so far no paper jam / blockade.
The network and web interface:
=========================
The printer can be accessed via the browser and provides a stocked range of functions:
Settings for print, color, network, print quality, Tonerdfüllstand exist.
The network settings offer: IPv4, IPv6, proxy, HTTP / HTTPS, FTP, BOOTP, TFTP,
AirPrint, SNMP, DHCPv6, LLMNR 802.1X, PEAP; EAP-TLS, AUTOIP SLP IPP, firewall, CA Zerts UVA.
In other words, all this and much more.
On / off switch and the standby consumption:
====================================
The printer does not have an on / off switch. This is a major shortcoming and for many a great
Topic: waste of energy, waste of money, global warming. Buyer on
Energy efficiency eighth, or the printer does not use daily should not buy it!
Power consumption in "power down" mode is approximately 1 watt (without LAN even less). The Consumption
of one watt per hour corresponds to 0,001 kW / h and in a year there are 365 * 24 * 0,001 = 8.76 kW / h.
My current price is 22 euro cents per kW / h, which would then be 1.92 euros per year or 19.2 Euro
in 10 years. Since it has many other household appliances that run in standby mode,
then results after 10 years of sums that go into thousands.
Missing manual feeder and double-sided printing:
================================================== ====
Unlike my earlier LaserJet's this has no manual feed, so that
a manual duplexing is only possible if one side printed pages
back into sets in the only paper tray and print again. So I am also one of those,
the have provided a manual feed slot and were fooled. If
Wants postcards, envelopes or A5 print, the missing manual feeding is noticeable.
It is nevertheless possible: In this case it is necessary to empty the tray and fill it with the new format.
So who needs the manual feed slot, which should not buy this printer!
Toner level warning:
=======================
My printer has printed about 1,000 pages. The toner level for black reported
But it after 250 pages with a warning. Now, after 1000 pages it reports still
"Supply Level: Very Low" but the black print is still properly. The replacement cartridge
is now covered in dust. One should therefore not at a toner level warning immediately
buy new toner, but remove the cartridge, shake a little and again
Insert and then print as long until the pressure is pale.
Small color problems:
=================
The color was off and yellow patches with me. I did but fortunately without any problems
solve. I took out the yellow toner cartridge, pushing the frame slightly to the side so I
could turn green plastic drum and cleaned them of the yellow toner residues. The renewed pressure
was then properly.
So I give a full recommendation for those who do not pay attention to energy efficiency and
manual feed and manual duplex do not need.
Thus: 1/2 point deduction for the missing ON / OFF switch and
1/2 point deduction for missing manual feed.
