What I really like is that you can use the camera with 2x AA Mignon batteries. If one does not want to, you can also use 2xAA batteries (not included). So it is absolutely independent, because batteries you get everywhere. They also keep a long time. I have some photos, filmed a few times, looked through the menu and the batteries are still not empty.
Films can be highest in 29 minutes. Even if you have more space available. After 29 minutes, it's over. But for short recordings reached the in any case. The quality of the films is light-dependent. In broad daylight the quality is very good. The less light, the worse the quality.
In the photos it's the same issue. The less light, the more image noise. What good is a little the scene selection. That takes a bit of the noise in low light, but completely gone you do not get it that way.
