Activity is missing - built-up controller is a ASM1051

The Wintech housing acts in comparison to other enclosures, which I have already used, simpler in design because it does not have an extra slot for the hard drive. The housing is basically composed of the aluminum frame with the two front and rear cover plates of plastic. The design can be described as rather simple.

After removing the back plate, the hard drive is inserted into the frame and secured with lateral screws on the outer frame. These fastening screws then disappear under 2 plastic covers (with studs), which are inserted at the narrow longitudinal sides. After the connection of the back panel is made to the internal hard drive with the 2 SATA connector cables. In the rear panel there is a LED, a power switch, a socket for the external power supply and the USB 3.0 jack.

The LED in the rear panel lights up when the power supply is connected and the power switch is on. In activities of the hard drive is not displayed. The LED also lights up when the USB connection has been disconnected. According to the packaging the LED also indicates the activity status, which is definitely wrong. I have kept the housing anyway, because in him the need of me ASMedia controller ASM1051 is installed.

The front panel has a receptacle for an LED in the plastic injection molding is available. However, an LED is not in it. And a cable connection to the controller board then missing naturally also.
