(SOUND)
But from the beginning:
I got the Shure SE 315 gave (Clear as variant) last Christmas and was a little disappointed at first. And although I had a few years ago (before 10 or so ^^) ever Shure earphones in your ears and what I have in my memory, not coincided with what was coming out of these earphones. What was missing was this vast, what had then "burned" in my ear. After a few days and weeks of use I noticed, however, that the Shure's just designed very sober and analytically, because with the right music is also a nice bass to light. In addition, 10 years, of course, an enormous gap, and since I've already heard a lot of quality, so that my ears now probably more likely to orient upwards, and not quite a virgin came across a good first in-ear as it was then.
After I and my ears had therefore to be heard, I must attest to a good sound the Shure still. All details are audible. The highs and mids I find very good. The bass drops somewhat. Making a difference to my THX 5.1 system (I know is not the best for stereo sound, but quality), I can only in the area of (bass) foundation and the width of the stage notice. But this is also due to design.
(Screening, comfort)
What really excites me is the shield from the outside world and the comfort. With the right (for the ears) ear tips so you can hear almost nothing of what is taking place around you. Neither conversations nor Babygeschrei. Even passing trains are only partly visible. A Dream. So you can significantly reduce the volume and protects your hearing. In addition, the reinforced cable ends, which allow cable routing via the ear, as well as more than sufficient cable length positive properties of the SE315. Similarly, the interchangeability of cable and latch mechanism that allows rotation of the ear pieces.
(Cable, NEGATIVE)
That ended up being about the only positive to the cables and here's the rub. The replacement cable costs MSRP just under 50 euros, the earphones MSRP just under 180 Euro. What you should therefore go out, especially in connection with the statement Shure's that the cable is Kevlar-reinforced? Correct: unexpected durability! Nope! The first cable held over a month, the second more than two months. My Apple cheap earphones holding since nem year or so. This can not and must not simply be! Especially since I have walked really very careful with the exchange cable after the first cable went so quickly broken. It is this fact also leads to my massive devaluation of the earphone - despite the fact that the main task (good sound) is satisfied, where I suspect and will soon discover if you do not for 50 euros less equally good sound gets (in the form of a Audéo PFE 112). A similar review will follow.
(REST)
Now some other things: the packaging must be made to open broken unfortunately. Why not to solve this with a tab as at each x-arbitrary packaging else also? And the small bag for transporting the earphone and the ear tips (with me always fit the iPod Nano still inside) is fairly inexpensive. There are a lot of ear tips there! The earphone sees Me in the Clear version very good and feels very high quality.
Summary:
Sound 4/5
Cable 0/5
Accessories 5/5
Look, feel 5/5
Price / performance: under the circumstances very unsatisfactory
I hope I could help. Comment with any questions.
