- Disk space: Samsung 830 SSD with 512GB
- DVD-drive-space: Adapter from Samsung with 1TB HD Fenvi (probably the last that was really produced by Samsung and not of Seagat)
Up to this configuration, I had no problems. I have operated this Bok and his predecessors over the years with two hard drives, and finally with hard drive plus SSD.
Now I made this disk initially worried as she was to address only sporadically with the Fenvi adapter. A serious use was thus impossible. Unfortunately, my SSD in the same adapter was not reliable, although it was addressed with SATA III.
So I ordered grudgingly expensive adapter from hardwrk who promised the problems of other adapters do not have to. Well, this hard drive also not running it reliably, albeit with significantly less downtime than with the previous adapter.
After much back and forth I have this hard drive nu finally smoothly in MacBook Pro for a month late 2011 are on:
- Hard drive in the hard drive bay
- SSD in hardwrk-SATA III adapter
The hard drive itself is neither slow even louder than the previous 1TB Samsung. Indeed, there is still a quieter eating. It is to perceive only a minimal noise.
Confusingly, the information whether this hard disk SATA II or III now provides. The System Profiler on my Mac reports anyway SATA III as negotiated speed.
