The package is well thought out, actually very simple but well designed and contributes to the quality of printing. The unit is supplied with a protective cover, USB cable (about 1 meter) USB charger (1 ampere), a hands-free kit, then a notice of introduction, tiny and uninteresting.
The build quality seems perfect: large LCD screen (4.7 inch, 1280 x 720 resolution) good quality, brightness and contrast; very well finished metal contour (ditto for buttons On / off and volume.) The back appears to be brushed aluminum. For almost two times cheaper than an iPhone 5C thick, "all plastic", there is something to ask about it ... The angular design is a success, even if the phone jack is a hands slightly less enjoyable than my previous phone, the more rounded edges. Problem solved by installing the semi-rigid shell provided, good quality and perfect dimensions - even if it makes it a little less beautiful phone.
To win finesse (just over 6 mm thick!), Some concessions to note: SIM - micro format only - to be placed in a carriage (on the right) to be removed with the tip (in row the headphone jack, unfortunately difficult to handle and easy to lose.) Same system for the micro SD card slot which increases the phone's memory. In this regard, the purchase of a micro SD card is highly recommended as 8GB displayed are amputated a third office by the operating system and other files necessary for the functioning of the unit.
The battery is replaceable theoretically after the manual (the full manual is available in English, but not French yet), except that it is nowhere explained how ... and for good reason SINCE it is not removable. We must call a service center for replacement, a questionable idea because the battery is a common reason for failure, and in any case loses its capacity after a couple of years.
(NB. We can find on the internet how to disassemble the device, power users should be able to replace the battery themselves with a little effort.)
The battery life is decent, but not enough to keep two full days in constant use. However, if one asks the little autonomy should reach 4-5 days, which is more than my previous smartphone that can not exceed 2 days even without touching it ... On the other hand, the phone very hot when approached, but it is the same with many smartphones.
The phone now works on Android 4.4 (after updating): fluid, logical, comprehensive functionality that is comparable to iOS but whose closest current competitor rather Windows Phone (Nokia). The overlay Huawei is satisfactory and we can, however, change the "look" of the menus easily, various configurations are available and there to choose. Performance is correct, but beware: they are quite disappointing in games requiring a lot of resources. One can find much more efficient, even in the current range means. Sure, everyone is not obsessed with raw performance, which may not have great importance in everyday life.
Communications side, no problems at all, good quality sound, hangs 3G / 3G + network correct, same for the wifi. The phone is unfortunately not compatible 4G. No NFC either.
The display is itself very good, and offers a HD resolution (720p) to browse internet comfortably and watch videos in excellent conditions. The screen can even be used with gloves, after activation of an option in the menus. The high current range offers more screens now 1080p (except the iPhone 5S below 720p); in practice the difference is not obvious. The functions photo and video (1080p) are also a very good level.
In summary, a really well finished device with a screen and photo functions / video high quality, just correct processor performance: the price / quality ratio is excellent finishing to medium perspective if we just interested to raw performance. His biggest flaws (in my eyes anyway) to take the non-removable battery and difficult access to SIM / microSD cards.
