First haptic impression: simply very good
Slightly more detail, we can say that more space for a more pronounced grip is available through a larger display and is the NX300 almost similarly well in the hand as that of the NX20. By contrast, the NX200 drops, the NX1000 has the lower weight a similarly good handling, but does not feel so far to wertig.
Keyword quality: again one up against the NX200 / 210 leathering feels quite high and the NX300 is fed in hand. I had tonight with the 85mm no problems in handling, it's almost even-handed (!). The camera I find very good equilibrium to. The shots with the 60mm macro succeed just as well as with the NX20.
Display:. With 3.3 "large and as always as AMOLED with rich colors and even with sun still decent view In the NX300, the display is now foldable (90 ° or 45 °) and designed as a touch screen, which can be expected as well responds. (However, sometimes too good, because you get used to the hand attitude it has not happened to come on the lower left "Menu" button and end up in the Setup). The large display makes the image editing now fun because you very well the images can edit using touch in the camera. -man by the improved performance of a rumored quad code with Tizen OS is now also a complete RAW conversion in the NX300 possible and also qualitative sense because since Samsung has the largest wophl jump made.
Picture quality: the recent Samsung NX 20Mpix have always been very well used in RAW processing to about ISO3200, but fell in the camera's internal JPEG processing part apparent from the face of competition. Since the NX300 is clearly better. The advantage of RAW over JPEG's in my opinion, only 1 / 3-2 / 3 aperture and is generally about to ISO5000 / ISO6400 yet tidy uses bar.
Reason: the JPEG engine can now be set fine for that matter-noising and where earlier mud generated remain now enough details. Also seems Samsung with the new 20Mpix color saturation sensor with high ISO values now better under control.
Autofocus: The NX300 has now got to the known contrast AF also a PDAF (on-sensor PhaseDetect Autofocus), which helps to fix moving objects / tracking. This works quite well, in general it can be said that the NX300 NX is the first in which it is worth the AF-C or the nut Using the touch screen to take advantage of possible track King-AF. The NX300 supports the TouchAF incl shutter release. (I even got the impression that this is slightly faster, because you do not pre-focused as).
Generally, the AF of the NX300 is dependent on the AF speed that allow the lenses .... there are fast and slow. Quick is the 12-24, the 45mm, the 18-55, the 50-200. Not bad 16mm, 20mm, 85mm and the 60 (Lens goods update available) have to move a lot of glass. The 30mm is not really fast (Caution Lens goods available update V1.22), which is lame 20-50 ... the 18-200 I have not tested.
Speed: in general was one of the problem cases, since the previous 20Mpix had to cope with quite large amounts of data and (see my review to) machesmal very long did it take to respond back to inputs. This was a clear improvement here, also because a new RAW format (SRW 2.0) significantly reduces the data. However, the frame buffer is still no (if one may see that as criticism)
What else is there:
-> Focus Peaking in support of the MF (good adjustable and available in conjunction with the viewfinder / DMF and especially with macros I feel this is in the NX300 to be very accurate, albeit maybe etzwas difficult to see)
-> The battery 1130 is identical to the NX200, ie you can also use the BP1030 in the NX300 (All thing has indeed slightly less power). The BP1130 is chargeable at the moment only via USB.
-> It is Adobe Lightroom settled (full version)!
One should already available firmware update V1.10 import, which eliminates some initial problems in any case. (Achung: the FW is now with 240MB significantly larger than previously, Linux sends his regards)
Therefore, there is of the NX300 because Samsung has made this much right the first time * 5 stars from me.
Update 6/17/2013: Samsung has released a firmware V1.20 recently that firstly has the AF speeds up again and added to the other some important features include:
-> The touch screen can be issued (fully or there is via the DISPLAY button a base view in which the touch screen is OFF)
-> Minimum shutter speed when using AutoISO to ggfls to avoid a slow shutter speed (eg, sport)
-> The annoying splash menu when switching the shutter modes (PASM) is also switched off entlich!
