In Westeros nothing new

Point 1)
A book from the field Fantasy criticizing implausible because of facts is of course risky, but just GRRM it creates in all his books, map the world and especially the behavior of the acting figures despite Dragon, Others and magic very realistic. The World of Ice and Fire fails completely in this respect.
The idea to write this book from the perspective of maester is not only bad, but is also pursued very inconsistent. Why a book that should be determined for Robert or Tommen Baratheon, while the Starks and Lannisters pedigrees, but does not contain the Baratheon is not logically explain. Intentionally an unreliable narrator to use as the author of a fictional history book, for me is a paradox in itself.
This leads to equal my biggest gripe: The book gives the reader no new interesting information. The knowledge about the processes of maester north of the Wall is taken almost verbatim from the tales of Old Nan of A Game of Thrones. Rumors, legends, tales and myths that the author will be presented mostly self-disqualified as unusable. The interesting point, the nature and origin of the Children and the Others, the Dragon or the magic in itself be intentionally omitted.
Since I've already repeatedly in discussions of the argument This can Maester not know just heard here a suggestion: Do not write the book from the perspective of maester !!! Tolkien's Silmarillion is a perfect example of how such a book might look like, I wish the writers would have taken a lesson from him.

Point 2)
Which leads me straight to my next point of criticism. Instead of interesting information is a thick book full of us, I can not say otherwise, presents completely useless facts.
An explanation of the events of Summer Hall? No.
A list and description of all nine mistresses Aegon IV? YES.
More about Blood Raven and his relationship with Shiera? No.
The meanwhile third !!! Repetition of the Dance of Dragons? OF COURSE.
This list can be endlessly continue long. Alone the invention whole new countries and continents, the Empire of Yi Ti and the like, is useless. This book should deepen our understanding of Westeros, not easy to invent new continents.
Oh yes, and the world is, as we know now, a planet. A planet named Planetos. Really? Already Westeros in the west and the south Sothoros requiring no excessive creativity but Planetos and Andalos ... every child could have found better name here. This is surpassed only to ridicule by King Elmo and Kermit King, since this point I'm really convinced that the whole thing is a deliberate parody of ASOIAF.

Point 3)
Poor implementation. A plethora of errors, especially concerning names. Targaryen are already difficult to differentiate from the house, if the names are also misspelled it is almost impossible. (Also see: Jamie takes Jaime) About those errors I would completely ignore most other books, but ironically are just Elio and Linda (the co-authors) incredibly strict with regard to the correct spelling of ASOIAF characters. In this respect, both have already on several occasions over fans complained the name misspelled.

For me personally, the low point was reached when I read the same sentence almost verbatim in two different places in the book:

Page 170, via the Vale and King Artys Arryn:
My throne is made of saddle leather, which he wont to say, and my castle is my tent.

Page 186, on the Iron Islands:
His palace was a tent, his throne a saddle, his men Said of him [Harwyn Hard Hand].

Thus, the authors really go too far for me. That the book generally provides little new information and instead operated from the books of the series, is already unpleasant. About the language is debatable, especially since two of the three authors are not professional writers. But copying phrases and use them later for evidence of an incredible unprofessional work and can not be for me to apologize. I am especially disappointed by GRRM because you lately feel gets his books would be completely unimportant to him.

I do not normally write reviews, in this book it was important to me because I count ASOIAF of my favorite series. The publication of this book in my eyes harms the reputation of the series and I think it's important to point out the critical points. I continue to hope that in future GRRM his books again writes itself, The Winds of Winter adjoins the quality of his earlier books and the series comes to a satisfactory conclusion.
