INTERPOL celebrate on album No. 3 their bleak - melancholic guitar Wave with strong links to the 80 bands Wiethe CHAMELEONS, Echo & The Bunnymen, THE SOUND and course JOY DIVISION, although this hardly intend INTERPOL. Safe: Stylistically offers "Our Love to Admire" nothing new. But synthpop or hip-hop was now not exactly expected :-) Good albums open up mostly eh only after repeated listening, they evolve. So it is here. Meanwhile, the disc is exposed in my CD player a "heavy rotation". "Pioneer to the Falls" is simply outstanding. On we go with the catchy uptempo number "No I am in threesome". At the latest at Track 3, the inclined fan beyond the 40 feels Joy Division recalls. Would also (as "Pioneer to ...) on JD`s" Closer "fitted. It follows the rousing single (with gerdezu nice melody) and then with "Mammoth" still a potential dancefloor. With "Pace in the trick" is followed by a great ballad again. "Rest My Chemistry" reminded me of the style to somehow "LA Rain" by ROSE OF AVALANCHE. "All Fired Up" and "Who do you think" are two other fleet tracks, where especially the latter again has single potential ' As a single weak point I feel "Wrecking Ball". To turgid with swirling keyboards and choir moderate backing vocals. At the end there is a surprise again. "The Lighthouse" sounds like a tribute to one of my favorite bands of the 80s and 90s, namely at And Also The Trees
Conclusion: Prima album, good songs, full of atmosphere, official production. The difference with the competition, the new editor is: "An End Has A Start" immediately goes into the ear, but can in effect for. "Our Love to Admire" takes time, leaves an then no longer go.
