Move at a high level with modern standards and features

I had been a now 10-year-old stereo hifi system from Sharp in use. What was the state of the art a decade ago, I need to explain in detail here. To come to enjoy such. As Internet radio, DAB + and DLNA, I looked around for a number of models from different manufacturers. Finally, I am now then came across this device from Sony and I have been my decision not need to repent!

I have this system now about two months in use and can not complain how others do it here by far.

From the delivery of the structure up to the first time everything went smoothly. In my view, the configuration of the LAN / WLAN was easy. Since the selection of Internet radio stations is quite large, it can happen again, that you lose track. But it can be saved as favorites finally the radio stations to select them directly later. Likewise, it also works with the reception via DAB + or about ordinary FM frequencies. I live in the Rhineland (south-west of Cologne) and thus about 40 DAB + radio station listening. Mostly I get the Dutch programs, but here already jerky reception pretty. The reception of DAB + can be established for. Example on the web pages of "digital radio". And the quality over regular FM reception is not comparable! I want to DAB + not want to miss :-) Alternatively, a hard receivable DAB + radio also be heard over the corresponding internet radio station. For all three receiving sources (DAB +, FM radio and Internet) of 20 programs can be stored. For me, just about adequate.

Furthermore, I can play music (eg. As in MP3 and WMA) from your computer (Windows 7) from stream on the compact system. I used to have with (re) writable MP3 CDs back and Mr. Ennen and now I need it just to make a mouse click and is already running the music on the system in the living room instead of the PC-speakers in the bedroom. Simply amazing! Likewise, it works quite fine with music from the smartphone phone, even from "Apple foreign models". With my Samsung Galaxy S3 without any problems. And with the right app to the also go with Airplay! So you do not stiffen necessarily on Apple's iPhones, etc. is! Why Sony is still working in collaboration with Apple, I do not only mystery. Independence and the use of certain standards come increasingly into play!

When playing CDs and USB memory devices I had been nothing to complain about. What a terrible works, is playing from your phone ("Non-Apple models"), provided this has been connected via the USB port. But you can at least charge the battery over. I can not complain Likewise, over the sound. The music is clearly shown, powerfully and without distortion. It can be set separately from each other, the ups and downs (Bass / Treble). It happens to be only a compact system and not a high-end device and for the ordinary household more than enough!

What I find as a "super feature", the alarm and timer. I let myself from Monday to Friday awaken by the morning radio program z. B.. So one falls getting up a little easier. This, incidentally, was also a criterion that had influenced my decision to buy here.

On the whole, I am with this system more than satisfied. As I said, it's not a high-end device. But with the features offered you today is already on the way at a high level, especially with regard to digital standards (USB, DAB + and Internet). What I lack here is an optical port or HDMI port z. B. for digital playback of TV content (sound). But that would be my view, almost too much to ask ;-)
