Super device - remote unfortunately a disaster

My old Sony AV receiver was now after more than 12 years of loyal service no longer cope with DTS (strange sound fragments). Since a new 3D home theater projector with the devil 2 - (already over 12 years old, but still top) were prepared 5.1 speaker set, quickly had now a favorable AV receiver into the house.
I have long considered between the Onkyo TX-NR 626 and the Pioneer VSX-923-K back and forth. Ultimately, I decided for the Pioneer and this regret bitterly the first 3 days! The unit I was after I had three days busy exchange again. Why? Three reasons, the supplied remote is confusing to say the least an absolute disaster not really manageable. The unknown functions are although the remote control with buttons felt 300 is equipped only be reached via a combination of keys .. as I said a disaster!
The second reason is that this manual is very extensive, so extensive that I had (although I am technician) after 3 days found the features that I need!

The third reason is the Zone 2, originally designed to provide a separate room with music. This has easily handled my old Sony. Pioneer, as well as all other manufacturers (eg Onkyo) have built a barrier here. Any digital contents can not be transferred to the boxes attached to Zone 2. What am I supposed that it can not tell. Now I finally have everything digital (HDMI) and now that As said other vendors do this so be it.

Ultimately, I have kept the receiver but now! Why it. Especially the remote control for the iPod! The Pioneer App is great, it can thus serve (when you finally risen behind ..) everything. The sound is great too! Beautiful is also that the iPods of our family can provide the AV receiver directly with music.

From me, there are just 4 of 5 stars. The deduction will be for the really bad remote control and the lack of a simple guide. I The lack of Zone 2 feature now not rated (all other Herstelle make this ultimately yes, exactly so) .. otherwise there would have been only 3 stars.
