After I have photographed 1.5 years with a Sony Alpha 57 with significant accessories, I have now decided to shift to a smaller, lighter equipment. The basic idea was that there are already enough technically perfect, boring photos (I always laugh at Nikonen photographers that make your garden with 5 kg Fotoapperaten and LMA lenses, images of pansies in the neighbor's). So there had to be a camera that I can often have this to capture the unusual, special moments. So I was quite willing to trade some image quality for mobility. And make no mistake about anything, a larger camera is obviously better .... I thought. I had to sacrifice little image quality and much mobility got, I have only now recognized. This camera delivers an astonishing image quality, but also has its limitations. Because of the small sensor, it can not as easy as it may indemnify eg a APS-C sensor, of course. The permanently installed lens is neither a fixed focal length with extreme intensity, even a superzoom, but something in between, just a standard zoom. This need not be bad, because almost as bad as a camera, which is not there, a camera lens is wrong with it. The focal length of 28-100 mm Kleinbildequivalenten one is well equipped in at least 90% of cases. Who not only photographed portraits, will be able to come to terms with the restricted free storage facilities of the smaller sensor, by example, the light uses to highlight a person or easy to photograph so that the background is just not right behind the person, but maybe a meters away (yes, you may move the photograph and the photo subject even though there are Zoom! ;-)). So, that's it with the restrictions! The image quality is as already written top because there have even current DSLR, SLR and system Kamers difficult to settle significantly. Whoever comes with silly tests or 1000% enlargements, where you will detect small differences, I call Nerd. I see the topic: "What kind of camera do I need?" as a consideration of many factors. I think, who as I examined the smallest possible camera that lets you not only take pictures, but also can take pictures on, should definitely access.
