Visually, the filter is superior to a cheap filter previously used by me visible: When photographing in direct sun the Hoya brand filter hardly produces flares, apparently the multi-coating works well. The recordings of the Hoya filter are both slightly sharper and more contrast than with cheap filters. In addition, the Hoya filter enhances the colors richer and the difference between two opposite polarizations (90 degrees) already falls when looking through the viewfinder bigger.
I have the same Hoya filter in 52mm diameter and have thus made the same positive experience. Another Hoya polarizing filters I have for 20 years, and still works perfectly.
CONCLUSION: A high-quality filter, which is also the highest of expectations.
These experiences I have with a Sigma EX 1: made 2.8 70-200mm HSM II telephoto lens + Nikon D7000 body.
