Colleen Rennison is the singer of No Sinner - hard, driving blues rock. Here they are known - except to her unusual voice - hardly. Songs between Americana and lightweight Country Touch, competently played, never pushy - You have to make more or to listen, to discover all the facets of this wonderful album. Even the song selection testifies to courage and taste (Songs of Leonard Cohen, Neil Young, Booker T. Jones, Joni Mitchell and Robbie Robertson) - the young singer sets the level pretty high - and it fails even once. Your presentation adapts to the respective templates so fantastic that the songs are about theirs. The opener "All La Glory" it fits like a glove, and the second piece of R. Robertson (Stage Fright) succeeds - thrifty wind, slightly abducted rhythm: it was ideal. And Joni Mitchell's "Coyote" it is really great: one of the best vocal performances on this album - although it slowed to slightly jazzy-inspired version must used to. There is nowhere a hangover - and the conclusion with Neil Young's "See the Sky ..." is just great. Please more, Mrs Rennison!
