Design
--------
The design as a whole is very cautious, as virtually-functional it can be best described well. Below and on the right side no buttons or ports are placed on the left sits the volume rocker. Jack, on / off button and microUSB port are therefore located above all, the latter is protected by an easily opened flap. The grippy rear can also be very easily removed and snapped a same without resistance - no fumbling and Herumgebreche! However, leave the lid softly clicks elicit when you press on the lower end. But the back is tight, otherwise it indicates the processing so nothing to complain about. The memory card is located under the back cover, it can be removed without removing the battery. A 16 GB card is already in the shaft.
Display

It is thanks to the IPS technology tremendously sharp, especially with photos, a clear advantage over Super-AMOLED displays shows with Pentile matrix (which it undoubtedly the most intense colors have). The display can also be read from extreme angles still very good, but is a little too deep below the surface. This also reflects quite strong.
Software
----------
After installing the LG update software update was offered to me on Android 4.0.4. This of course is not the latest version, and it is for this device may never exist (at least not by LG). But who knows Android 4.2, know that there is not necessarily everything has over 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) improved. As of former Nexus member I miss out Jelly Bean most Project Butter. Some other new features that came to Ice Cream Sandwich, thanks to the LG-modifications as well as already available. The 1.5 GHz dual core processor and 1GB of RAM make when operating any problems, everything runs smoothly. Functions and appearance correspond to other recent LG devices, such as the Optimus 4X HD. So there are plenty of options for customization and additional features such as the definition of rest periods, shortcuts on the lock screen, etc. It should be mentioned that there is a slight Vodafone branding, the app "Vodafone Services" is pre-installed and the Vodafone website first as Home set in the browser.
Browser

The surfing speed is generally only satisfactory in the WLAN as the mobile network (HSDPA) load pages rarely less than five seconds. Often you can see at this time often only nothing until then equal to the entire screen. It also does not matter whether you use the default browser or Chrome. LTE I have not so far been used for lack of tariff.
Camera
---------
The 8 MP camera triggers like most current smartphones quickly and is also immediately available. Who does not trust the automatic, finds numerous settings like ISO speed, white balance, picture mode (partying, sports, night, etc.) or a self-timer. "Color effects" can be as good as any filter (only black / white, sepia and negative), but what exactly meet my personal taste - so what can eventually so do the existing processing function afterwards. When the camera itself the touch focus deserves special mention, specifically able to quickly select which image area you want to focus: to my previous smartphone experience causes this function often that the rest of the image is useless or, in favorable cases, the individual choice causes no difference to automatic, so is pointless. Here, however, the function works quite excellent, in addition to deliberate blur in the foreground can be also macro shots with 4 cm make distance. For image quality: it is absolutely excellent in daylight, in a dark room is still very good. There should, however, use the flash to achieve acceptable sharpness and little image noise.
Accumulator
------
With constantly activated Internet connection (no LTE) and e-mail retrieval, Whatsapp and Facebook in the background of the battery lasts about 11 to 12 hours, which I do not assessed as outstanding. However, my personal usage is also a little different, I turn the internet off when not in use, have disabled automatic synchronization with Google account and switch to night on the airplane mode. With this profile, the battery provides nearly two days.
Conclusion
------
This exotic deserve loose the title "secret" because it has not as blatantly to identified shortcomings, and despite its price offers features that are otherwise more expensive smartphones are reserved - such as the large, high-resolution display and the strong camera. For price-performance hit but power is even more so if one considers the LTE Supports, which practically do not exist otherwise for under 300 euros.
