No secret what AMJ 'he thinks their album ...

"Secret" is a compromise basically. The first international album "Barefoot" has sold poorly because
no one has understood what the good lady there really sings. A niche product just. Universal in London
gave her to understand that they can not bring to the man their music in this way. This time she has sung everything in English, in the album promotion much more money was pumped, hired the former manager of Diana Krall and hey presto ... the strategy is working.

Basically, this album is not very imaginative or specifically. These are some of the songs from one of its Polish albums, a pretty good way, but they were this time provided with a shallower English text, then some cover versions, of course, by Grandmaster Sting, Anna Maria Jopeks people for years want to persuade finally record a duet with her, no matter what. Then there was Pat Metheny, who was also targeted for years and ultimately appealed. The result is the beautiful album "Upojenie" which includes but unfortunately almost exclusively gecoverte compositions by Methey. Nevertheless, I would describe it as awesome as the old material was re-arranged artfully. It was this album that AM Jopek paved the way to the international music business. And this way resulted in the album The finale "Secret".

For beginners, the album is certainly recommended for AMJ connoisseurs really. Her early work was better. Who does not believe, let him deal with it. Fine handmade music, honest and beautiful texts, less marketing, more modesty. Formerly were not the "big names" of the musicians with whom she has worked, in the foreground, but their music. Now it's just a matter of working with the musicians who are closest to Sting (Mino Cinelu), bringing the singer also boasts regularly and tirelessly on stage and in her Polish interviews. Altogether now is no longer so much the music, but on name dropping. One might almost think that the singer would be falling into a "Sting-mania". The knew the men and women from the marketing department to use and also placed two Sting cover on "Secret". From me there is unfortunately only three stars. Healthy mediocrity.
