The story is great, no question. If you know another Ubisoft title, also not surprised. FarCry, Assassins Creed - story standard makes Ubisoft currently before nobody what. Even with Watchdogs I find the characters believable, the story overall thoughtful and captivating. At least motvierte me any title of the house to continue playing.
The controls are not perfect - but I do not see this as a problem. The relevant buttons are manageable, so it could be less, but it also does not have to echauvieren about every stupid.
The points so devalue the game in my opinion so, are those who perceive other players as unacceptable.
First of all: The game runs with me not to ultra, not even on high. That's not a problem per se. It was clear from the outset that it will not do. However, my system is already 2 years old.
What's surprising that the game looks far worse than older OpenWorld title. I think only of her gameplay, GTA IV is the title of which watchdogs must be measured. GTA IV is running much smoother, looks much better and is much older. Clear, on setting "ultra" GTA can not keep up ... but just barely. As I see indeed a huge increase in hardware hunger, but this is, in my view, difficult to understand. Certainly, from a certain quality, the changes are only marginal, however, both play should then at least look similar. Neure titles that are at least in approach OpenWorld, cut that time much better. Need For Speed Rivals doing a lot more here, even in direct comparison to its predecessor.
What is an absolute no-go, is driving a car. The control is with words like "grenzdebil" and "buggy" to describe. First it is noticeable that there is a corresponding delay when accelerating and braking. This makes precise driving (or rather, the non-driving around pedestrians) a challenge. But so be it: we do indeed speak highly enough to get over a few deaths can. However, going with the entry into the car and an incredible performance hit associated: The game runs perfectly clean until you get in the car: After that it's on the screen only one Geruckel and Gezuppel, barely playable. So keep running? In the size of the map is no real option.
The next point: damage model! Sore point ... Quite sore point. It really seems to be a random number generator, which controls the damage model of cars. Again: GTA IV is already pure mockery of what was delivered here: time, it is enough to knock down a bollard and the hood plus front bumper fall off. Then in turn, there are moments in which you drive "really in the city cleans up" and you do not even have a dent. I have, in good German, really wild sow with the Mustang played I should claw and still went at the end of the task as undamaged by ... Well, ask because sometimes the police, what keeps them.
The hacking is actually quite funny. Yes, it is unrealistic. But seriously: If it would be realistic, the game would be infinitely boring. The same applies to the criminal chase. Unrealistic, but hey: It should be fun.
A further point of criticism is the in-game economy. No, I do not go out that there is an economic crisis or something. At first you will find weapons but quite expensive. But once you times (forced moderation) runs a bit through the city, you can pile up in such a short time a fortune through hacking and thereby get so many cars that it's actually been hardly any incentive to do anything about it. Within an hour you're rich as Croesus. Why the weapons then cost anything ?! Ubisoft will know. With the car that's another thing: once you've cracked the corresponding car (or has someone GTA moderately weggeklaut under the ass), this type of car available in the auto-App. Again: little motivation, nor what to do.
Summa Sumarum were some nice things conceived (hacking, the Auto-app, etc), some Sinnfreies (knows one of you CTOs Mobile?!?) And much has been, although there are models that are undoubtedly known and also as a template to serve had completely messed up. Especially essential points which actually have to work with a so well-known manufacturers, just do not.
So we have a game where damage is a matter of luck, money is on the street, driving a car intended, but is not possible, the graphics are dated (at least at all levels in "high") and currently one of the biggest manufacturers. Why 2 stars? Exactly why: watchdog zusammengefrickelt not by a label or independant of any student. Watchdogs is the block buster title from Ubisoft. There are errors like the graphics or the damage model annoying but would perish in the game. But that parts of the game are not available, parts for their development you pay in the end find scant attention (remember CTOs Mobile) and the number of bugs (game world hangs, sound comes asynchronously etc. pp.) Are for the price and the Prestige unacceptable.
