At first I was just looking for an LED, which can approximately reproduce the warm light of a halogen lamp plus should be dimmable. All non-RGB LEDs are much too cold and change when they are dimmed, not their color temperature towards a warmer hue, as halogen lamps do now once. All experiments with cheap RGB LEDs brought no useful results, since both the color selection is very limited (16 Fraben?) And a warm white could not be achieved. Then I stumbled upon the Philips Hue and have the costly attempt daring and am thrilled: Huge color spectrum, stepless dimming, control of all lamps centrally via an app, yes, even my halogen light I can almost perfectly imitate (still have 4 of 8 emitters genuine Halogen and indistinguishable from the Hues), even if I had to create a second color scheme for the severely dimmed area. However, this can be reached only touch on the screen. Ever: In the vast range of colors, it is probably not for long remain the Haolgenimitat).
The only downside is the price - for the 8 Gu10 spotlight in my office are sometimes just about a mere 500, - payable.
