The device has a very high quality. It's not easy, is about nothing, nothing wobbles and therefore sits all in place. The HDMI inputs are gold-plated also.
The practical application is simple and ingenious: On the device there is an HDMI input and two HDMI outputs. The incoming signal is duplicated, so you can use the same image on two output devices. This could be for example a TV and a projector, the product lends itself to but especially for more complex projects.
Such Splitter offer themselves for example streamers of video games in order to use the HDMI signal from a console to the TV as well as a video capture card to transfer at the same time. Here a delay in image transmission would seriously because many times fast response times are required. Thanks to the splitter that's no problem.
For my part use the splitter within a craft project together with a Raspberry Pi, a video grabber, a HDMI2AV converter and 50 WS2801 LEDs as Ambilight clone. Everything works together perfectly, which is why I could not be happier with the product.
Conclusion: The product does the job excellently. Whenever you want to transfer a device to two output devices, with the Canaan Splitter, one need not consult. So if for exactly this solution, maybe you should just look for so-called applications, which I would definitely recommend this splitter.
