Here, the whole point of the book is to discover the painful past of Colonel, a story to tear your heart, at least that's what we thought. In the end, rather than shedding tears over his fate, we rather want to shake it a good shot and the result is at best fairly cutesy in my opinion.
As soon as the Dashwood sisters are involved, the story is much more attractive and Brandon dedication allows us to appreciate that character to its fair value. But ultimately, once again, it is when we find ourselves in the middle known as the most preferred Amanda Grange. At that rate, not much read Jane Austen? Still, I'm not saying this is a book to avoid. It's entertaining and if that's all you expect and more to find the world of Sense and Sensibility, then this is perfect. If you are a bit more demanding than this, you are likely to find it all a bit bland. So unfortunately, for those who want more, I have a board, put yourself in English because austeneries good, I assure you, it is but this is rarely the ones proposed to us in French and it upsets me more and more.
